Personal Umbrella Insurance
Sometimes Accidents Happen!
Personal Umbrella Insurance:
Sometimes it is your fault. Help protect yourself from potential devastating liability claims and judgments. You have liability coverage build into your homeowners, auto, motorcycle or boat insurance policies, but sometimes this is just not enough. You can add additional liability coverage on top of your existing coverage’s with an Umbrella Liability policy.
Personal Umbrella insurance policies can be purchased in amounts starting at $1,000,000 up to $5,000,000. These policies can be purchased for individuals, Families and on the commercial side, for your business.
In order for a possible claim to be paid on an Umbrella policy, you must have underlying liability coverage, either on a homeowners, auto, motorcycle and boat insurance policy or all of the above.
Please note:
Personal Umbrella liability policies only provide coverage if there is underlying liability coverage. An example, you have an umbrella policy and you have an accident riding a uninsured motorcycle. The umbrella policy would not provide any coverage for the accident because you did not have the underlying liability coverage.
Who Needs Umbrella Insurance?
This type of insurance can benefit almost anyone. This is because accidents can happen to anybody. Another person’s medical bills or your own legal bills could be very expensive and could be more then the limits on your current homeowners or auto insurance policies. In this case, you could have to come out of pocket for the additional expenses. Help cover yourself with an umbrella liability policy.
